Jelly Bean 4.1 is now starting to become available on HTC One X devices. This update to HTC’s high-end device brings it back to par against the Samsung Galaxy S3 who already have its Jelly Bean update available.
The update fixes a number of bugs, boosting speed and performances, but most importantly introduces a new version of HTC’s own Sense 4+. With the introduction of this update, users now have a Siri equivalent with the introduction of Google Now. New notifications are also being displayed alongside with the introduction on an improved virtual QWERTY keyboard.
Furthermore, this update maximizes your battery life by controlling your phones brightness. The update is being rolled out by HTC based on their Customer ID or CID so its hard to predict when the update will hit a specific device. You can also verify the update manually if you are too eager to wait.
With this new update, the HTC One X is essentially the same as the recently introduced HTC One X+. The HTC One X+ comes pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean. So I am glad to see that at least, HTC is doing a great job by not letting us down with this quick update.
