The tablet world once dominated by Apple’s iPad is once again going to change. Since the introduction of Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7, there’s rumor of an upcoming Google Nexus 10.1 by Samsung.
This new Nexus tablet, will come in direct competition against Apple’s iPad and will have a better screen resolution than Apple’s iPad. The device will be a high-end device and will involve Google and Samsung. Both companies have already worked together in the past working Google’s last two Nexus phone, the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy Nexus S, so you can expect a great tablet from them.
The point of releasing a Google Nexus tablet is to provide an adware free tablet, with only Android on it and nothing else. To date, in terms of tablets, there’s already the Nexus 7 that was released earlier this fall by Google and Asus. With a price tag of $199, the Nexus 7 has been selling like hotcakes, and with rumors of an upcoming tablet at only $99, the Christmas season is going to be busy. This low price tablet is the result of a Google and Asus partnership who are preparing a new offensive against Apple’s upcoming iPad mini.
As a consumer, I can say that things are getting really interesting in terms of tablets. Can’t wait to see all these tablets on the shelves.
