After HTC and Samsung, another manufacturer is preparing to introduce Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to it’s line-up – Asus. It’s only natural that Asus comes up with Jelly Bean as it is currently producing Google’s flagship tablet, the Nexus 7 which is the first device to run Jelly Bean.
Here’s an excerpt from the press release
“We are pleased to announce that many of our tablet products are scheduled to receive an update to Android 4.1, Jelly Bean. The ASUS Transformer Pad, ASUS Transformer Pad Prime and ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity are all scheduled to receive Android 4.1 updates in the coming months. We will provide further guidance on our expected timeframes for these updates near their release,”.
As for the original Transformer and Transformer Slide, the update will happen but at a later time. Asus also stated that they plan to have the Jelly Bean update for some of their other devices without stating which ones.
What Jelly Bean brings to Android users is a smoother and better experience to Android with new and improved feature such as voice recognition, android beam via NFC.
So is the update worth it? Absolutely, it’s Android at it’s best. We’ll just have to wait for the update.
