Softbank Japan’s operator, is releasing a very unique Android Ice Cream Sandwich based smartphone, one that comes with a radiation dosimeter. The idea is the same as the tawkon app, to measure and inform the user of the level of radiation they are exposed to; except that the Sharp Pantone 5 107Sh does it with a radiation dosimeter rather than measuring radiation with a software.
The 3.7 inch smartphone is made by Sharp and is known as the Pantone 5 107 SH. The radiation dosimeter will measure radiation in your surrounding area by the push of a button. The microSieverts measurement will then be uploaded to the Softbank cloud for comparison with other users.
In terms of more regular specs, the Pantone 5 107SH is powered by a 1.4GHz single-core processor and comes with a rear 4 megapixel camera and a front 0.3 megapixel camera.
To this, we should add that the Sharp smartphone is also dustproof and waterproof.
The Pantone 5 107SH is only available in Japan in eight different colors.
