So it is confirmed, Ice Cream Sandwich Google’s next Android OS combining the best of the smartphone world with the best of the tablet world is expected to be released this coming October/ November.
In an interview during Safeforce’s Dreamforce conference, Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt said that “We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone’s really excited about.”. Actually that is still kind of vague, October/ November? That’s two month of uncertainty…
Regardless, it is coming and the Samsung Nexus Prime, Google’s flagship device should be the first Android device running Ice Cream Sandwich. One point remains unclear thought, since the Ice Cream Sandwich OS combines the best of the smartphone and tablet world, which tablet will be released with Ice Cream Sandwich?
To date, rumors about a phone running Ice Cream Sandwich are everywhere, and it should be the Nexus Prime. But no tablet have been assigned Ice Cream Sandwich. Could it be a Google/ Motorola tablet? Is Google secretly preparing a flagship Android tablet?
So many questions, no concrete answers yet… I guess all we can do for now is wait till October. Patience please, patience.
