According to Lenovo, Samsung only sold 20,000 units of its 7-inch Android tablet launched last year. Lenovo which is also preparing to launch the IdeaPad A1 this fall for the low price of $199, claims that Samsung produced over 1 million units of the 7-inch Galaxy Tab but only sold a mere 20,000 units since last year.
Samsung never disclosed the number of Samsung Galaxy tablets units sold publicly and have yet to comment Lenovo’s claims. If true, should we expect a fire sale just like the one HP did with its TouchPad? Probably, but the price will most likely still be higher as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 is running on an active platform.
But a price cut to any tablet, not just this one, is surely welcomed and appreciated. Bargain hunters, get ready for some price slashing!
