LG’s 3D phone, the LG Optimus 3D is making its way to India. Available at a retail price of 37,000INR (USD $800), the LG phone is one of a kind thanks to its rear dual 5 megapixel camera allowing you to record 3D videos and pictures. Other similar phone includes the Sharp Aquos 007-SH phone and HTC Evo 3D for example.
The LG Optimus 3D features a 4.3-inch touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. The OS version on this phone at the time of release will be Android 2.2 Froyo but it should be updated to Gingerbread shortly after. This 3D phone comes with plenty of memory upgradable to 32GB via microSD card expansion.
In terms of connectivity, the LG Optimus 3D comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and HDMI output among the most common ones. This 3D device will surely change the way Indian consumers view things as 3D devices are still not yet well anchored in their habits. Actually, I dont think anyone is used to it yet… We’ll see next month, as the phone is only set to be released by the end of September.
