Panasonic introduced an Android based e-book reader during the e-Book Expo show in Tokyo, Japan.
The Panasonic e-book will be exclusively distributed in Japan and will be getting its e-books from leading online e-commerce company Rakuten. At the time of launch, the Rakuten library will have at least 10,000 e-books.
This hybrid e-book reader and Android tablet will be running Android 2.2 Froyo on a 7-inch touchscreen with a 1024X600 resolution. The tablet will be dual-core, with Wi-Fi and camera. The Panasonic e-book tablet will be pre-loaded with a few apps that will allow browsing and checking your e-mails among other utilities.
Pricing has yet to be determined, however the Panasonic e-book tablet is set to be released around next month.
