Asus EEE Pad Transformer is already one of the best selling tablet on the market with around 400,000 units shipped in the first half of 2011.
News about the next generation of the EEE Pad Transformer are already leaking out. The famous tablet will be running NVIDIA’s next generation of Tegra processor, the Quad-core Kal-El and could be the first tablet to run this processor.
Another first would be the OS this tablet will be running. The Asus EEE Pad Transformer 2 could be running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the Android version that should unify Android Gingerbread for smartphones to Android Honeycomb for tablets.
With the Kal-El quad-core processor and Android Ice Cream Sandwich, the next generation of the Asus EEE Pad Transformer should be a very powerful tablet ready to handlle multi-tasking like a breeze.
The Asus EEE Pad Transformer 2 could hit the market as early as October in the states and is expected to retail for $399.
