The Samsung Galaxy S2 is now available in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The million unit selling handset, will be available through Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) and Taiwan Mobile for the launch in Taiwan. The retail price in Taiwan for the Samsung Galaxy S2 is NT$15,000 (USD $525). The price for the device will probably be lower upon a two year agreement as it is the case with most wireless carriers.
No information regarding the wireless carrier in Hong Kong is available for the moment. No price has been disclosed but we can expect a similar price range.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is probably the most hyped phone of the year; rightfully so as most reviews have been very positive regarding the handset.
Note that Samsung already sold millions Galaxy S2 devices in the world since its launch in April. Europe, Australia, India and Asia have already been invaded by the Samsung device. Leaving the US as the next target for Samsung.
Samsung did not provide any details whether the Hong Kong and Taiwan version will have an NFC chip in it. So far, the only country in the world with the famous NFC chip for mobile payment is Korea. Samsung claimed during the Australian launch last week that they will introduce the NFC chip when they think the market will be ready for it.
