HTC’s long awaited flagship device, HTC One is officially due today April 19. The main competitor to the iPhone 5 and to the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 is ready to invade the mobile world.
The HTC One was already available to pre-order and customers who did are apparently in luck. It seems like early adopters of the HTC One already got their hands on the famous HTC One. For once that a launch product comes early, that’s a very pleasant surprise for users from Rogers (Canada) to AT&T (USA).
The HTC flagship device features a 4.7-inch 1080p display and is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor with 2GB of RAM. Software wise, the One will be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean overlayed with the new HTC’s Sense 5 UI.
In terms of camera, the HTC One includes two Ultrapixel cameras. One front facing camera and one rear facing camera as most mobile devices these days. According to HTC, it’s Ultrapixel camera use larger pixels hence perform better in low light environment.
The HTC One comes with the standard connectivity functions most phone have such as Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi.
The rather disappointing parts in this phone is that despite the fact that the HTC One includes 32GB or 64GB of ROM storage, it’s memory is not expandable as it does not have a microSD card slot. Furthermore, the battery is not removable, hopefully the 2,300 mAh lasts long.
Despite all this, the HTC One looks like a very promising phone with an award winning design granted by the Mobile World Congress. It’s full metal body with no gap makes it truly the best designed Android device so far.
The One is coming, is it really the One android device one should get? Is it the One that will revive HTC? Hopefully, because despite the poor success of it’s other devices, HTC’S phone are still amazing. Great designs, great products. Hopefully a great hit too!
