As new versions and updates of Android appear, the HTC Thunderbolt finally got its update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The update which is made available through wireless carrier Verizon will ease HTC’s owner by introducing long awaited Ice Cream Sandwich features. The HTC’s Thunderbolt was meant to be an amazing phone. And it still is, as the first phone to run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
The problem is that as a first device on 4G LTE, just like any first run of any products, was more prone to error, malfunctions and bugs. That was the case, battery never lasted, and the now outdated software hindered its success. Despite all this, the Thunderbolt still is a great device and it is with great joy that users should adopt this new update.
HTC is producing great smartphones, and the Thunderbolt is one of them. It’s just that Samsung came off really strong with it’s Galaxy line-up. Hopefully 2013 will be a better year for HTC. The Ice Cream Sandwich update for the HTC Thunderbolt is way overdue, but I guess it’s better late than never.
