Samsung has prepared the field for this year’s Mobile World Congress by introducing two new Android devices – the Samsung Galaxy Young and Galaxy Fame. These two mid-range Android devices inspired by their bigger brother Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 should officially be introduced at this years MWC.
The Galaxy Young comes with a 3.27 inch touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 768MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 64GB thanks to the microSD slot.
By default, the Galaxy Young comes loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. It also comes with a 3 megapixel rear camera. Interestingly, the Samsung Young will also be available with dual-SIM card in some regions. You will then have 4 different colors to choose from, deep blue, wine red, metallic silver and white.
The other device Samsung is introducing is called the Samsung Galaxy Fame. This phone comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen and is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. Similarly, as most Samsung phones, the Samsung Galaxy Fame will support microSD card to expand its storage capacity up to 64GB.
The Fame will have a 5 megapixel camera with Flash as opposed to the Young which doesn’t have a Flash. Some versions of the Samsung Fame may also have NFC. One thing for sure thought, is that the Galaxy Fame will come preloaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean overlayed by Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
It seems like Samsung is preparing a big launch of Android phone at the MWC this year. These two devices may just be the introduction to it’s other flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. We’ll just have to wait and see.
