Big phones are getting very popular. After the huge success of the Samsung Galaxy Note and Note 2, Sony is apparently planning a 5-inch Android smartphone, its next flagship phone the C6603 or Yuga. Apparently as this news leak comes from website Android-Schweiz.
The Yuga will feature a full HD (1080p) display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels on a 5-inch screen. This Sony phone will be powered by a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor just like the LG’s Nexus 4 with 2GB of RAM. What version of Android will it have? For now, it seems like Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean; that is from the leaked pictures.
Camera wise, the Yuga will have a 12 megapixel camera with microSD card support and HDMI connexion. It seems like the Sony Yuga will have one little pet-peeve among users, the fact that it will have a non-removable battery. If this is the case, I just hope that its a good battery.
Otherwise, not much is known for now about this device, nor the price or its release date. But if its due early next year, its most likely to show up either during the CES show or even during the Mobile World Congress (MWC). We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have more information.
