Is the Google NEXUS tablet by ASUS coming this month?

Probably one of the biggest news in the Android tablet world after Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet, would be the introduction of Google’s own NEXUS Android tablet by ASUS.

At least that’s what an ASUS employee told Android Authority during the COMPUTEX show this year.

The ASUS Google tablet will be a 7-inch tablet running on Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 1.3 GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM. The Android OS version of it? Maybe Android 5.0 Jellybean, otherwise its safe to assume that it’ll come loaded with the latest iteration of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Otherwise not much else is sure for now as no official statement has been issued yet. Price-wise, it seems like the Google tablet should sell for around $150 to $250 which is very good news for us consumers, not so much for the competition. If the Google Android tablet sells for around $200, it’ll surely shake the tablet world as Amazon is doing with it’s Kindle Fire tablet. Let’s not forget that one big advantage the Google ASUS tablet will have other the Fire tablet is that it will have full access to the Google Play Store.

When is it due? Apparently at the end of the month, which coincides with Google I/O conference in San Francisco. Sounds like a good timing. Hopefully so as this is one hot tablet I’m really looking forward. I have been a little bit disappointed with HP’s TouchPad despite CyanogenMod awesome work. I mean you can’t really compare but still.
