ASUS EEE Pad Transformer Prime – world’s first quad-core tablet is out of stock everywhere

Just like its predecessor, the new Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime is out of stock. For those of you who are planning to get the first quad-core tablet to hit the market this year, I just hope that you pre-ordered it. First shipment could arrive for Christmas but in limited quantities. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is still available for pre-order for $499 in the US and for £499 in the UK with an estimated release date of January 12.

The 10.1-inch multi-touch screen tablet is powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 3 Kal-El quad-core CPU processor along with 1GB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 32GB. The Asus Prime will come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb and is expected to get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich later next year.

This powerful tablet can record 1080p HD videos thanks to its 8 megapixel rear camera. A 1.2 megapixel front camera is also available on the Asus Prime. Despite its small size, the Asus Prime features all standard connection ports such as 3.5mm audio jack, micro SD card slot and micro HDMI port. All this without compromising a battery life of up to 12 hours.

What’s nice about the Prime is that it’ll come with a QWERTY keyboard docking station. This dock will not only increase battery life up to 18 hours, but will bring in new ports such as USB and SD card slot.

In conclusion, the Asus EEE Pad Transformer Prime offers a lot of great features and will be the most powerful tablet to start the new year with its quad-core processor. And it offers all this at a very reasonable price, no wonder its out of stock everywhere. Definitely a must see in the tablet world.
