AT&T ready to launch Acer Iconia Tab A501 on its HSPA+ network

AT&T is preparing to release the 4G Acer Iconia Tablet Tab A501 starting September 18.

The 10.1-inch tablet Android 3.0 Honeycomb with a 1280 x 800-pixel resolution will be powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor. The Tab A501 tablet will feature a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chats.

In terms of connectivity, the Acer Iconia Tab A501 will be ready for AT&T’s HSPA+ network, Wi-Fi, bluetooth and will feature a full size USB port along with a microSD card slot.

This 4G Tablet will be available September 18 for $479.99 with no contract. If you signup with AT&T for two-year with a 3GB monthly data plan, the Acer Iconia Tab A501 can be yours for $329.99.

Note that Acer previously released the Acer Iconia Tab A500 this year. The only difference between the Tab A500 and Tab A501 is that the latter one on top of Wi-Fi also offers 3G.
