The tablet market is booming. The Indian Android tablet market is exploding… OK well, all this is just to say that another player is releasing an Android tablet in India, iBall with the Slide tablet.
With the iBall Slide tablet, iBall is following recents Android tablet release by other manufacturer such as Reliance Communications with its Reliance 3G tablet, Bharti Beetel Teletech with its Beetel Magiq, Lakshmi Access Communications with its very affordable Android tablet line-up, Kingtech Electronics with the G’Five, HCL with its Android tablet line-up and many more to come.
Anyways, back to the 7-inch screen tablet iBall with a resolution of 840X480. The Slide iBall tablet is powered by a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 Processor and will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Slide will have 8GB of internal memory that is expandable via microSD up to 32GB.
The Slide will have a 2 megapixel camera and will feature mini-USB and HDMI ports. In terms of connectivity, the iBall slide will have bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G via an external dongle. One last thing, from the picture, the iBall Slide looks quite thick, just a thought.
The tablet will retail for Rs 13,995 (USD $300).
