Sony Ericsson is introducing its first 3D taking picture Android phone at IFA show. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S will be able to take 3D photos but not display them. To view them, you’ll need a 3D television. You’ll have to plug in your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S to your TV and voila, you can watch your picture in 3D.
Cool idea, but I am not particularly crazy about having to plug in my smartphone to the TV just to watch a picture in 3D. I think LG did a great job in terms of 3D with the LG G-Slate.
But what else we got during this news conference at the IFA show, is that other Sony Android device will be able to do so when getting the Android 2.3.4 update. Same caveat thought, you’ll need to plug it to your 3D TV.
Taking 3D pictures, very cool, plug your phone to your TV to view them, not crazy about it…
Hopefully they’ll find another way, even thought it doesn’t look like it. I guess we’ll see in the future.
