Here we go again, another manufacturer is getting itself in the tablet market. The renowned home automation maker X10 is launching its first Android tablet, the AirPad. This 7-inch tablet features a 1.2GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM.

The tablet will be the cheapest branded Android tablet on the market with a tag price of only $199. Add to this, specs like microSD card expansion, HDMI output and USB ports and you’ve got a winner. Really not expansive for a tablet with all these features.

Now if it would run Android Honeycomb it would be awesome, but I guess that it should first start with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Honeycomb should hopefully follow.

For $199, this tablet and with its current announced specs, this Android tablet is already sold out. Its crazy to see how much more affordable tablet are beginning to be. The AirPad will be able to monitor your camera, thanks to the X10 app. Obviously, as a home automation company, it is only normal that the tablets they produce have this capability.
