Lenovo business oriented tablet – ThinkPad

Lenovo is starting to take pre-orders for its business oriented tablet the ThinkPad.

The ThinkPad features a 10.1 inch touchscreen and will be running Android 3.1 Honeycomb. Like a true business tablet, the ThinkPad will come with features such as data encryption, remote wiping and VPN support. Additional features such as Wi-Fi and 3G will eventually be available.

An optional stylus is also available for $30, similar to the HTC Flyer Stylus. The ThinkPad is following the IdeaPad K1 footsteps which was launched earlier this year.

The ThinkPad is available for pre-order starting at $499 for the 16GB version, $569 for the 32GB version and $669 for the 64GB version. That’s a lot of storage now, I guess when you’re in business there’s never enough memory! Just wondering if a tablet really fits into the business market place. HP just left the market place last week by discontinuing the HP TouchPad.
