The Indian tablet market is expanding at a very fast rate. After last week 3G tablet from Reliance Communications, it is now Bharti Airtel’s turn to launch an Android tablet via its Beetel Teletech branch.
The 7-inch android tablet from Beetel is called the Beetel Magiq and is available for the very affordable price of 9,999 rupees (USD $220). The Android tablet is running Android 2.2 Froyo and will unfortunately not be upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Software wise, this is very disappointing, releasing a tablet running an old Android OS designed for smartphones on a tablet device.
Nonetheless, the Beetel Magiq is powered by a 1GHz processor with 8GB of internal memory. The device also features dual-cameras, ie front and rear cameras for video chats. As with any device nowadays, the Beetel Magiq comes with 3G, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
So that’s one more affordable tablet to choose from in India.
