It seems like Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is getting ready for a release soon. Thanks to the folks at Rootzwiki, we now know a little bit more about Ice Cream Sandwich. This version of the Android OS, as we know is supposed to unify the Gingerbread version on smartphones with the Honeycomb version on tablets.
This new iteration of the Android OS is expected to be first released with Google’s upcoming flagship device the Samsung Nexus Prime. Other recent device should expect an update shortly after.
What’s new in this version? Well, we still don’t have much information, but we do know the following,
– Notification light is now blue as opposed to green.
– Panorama mode available on the camera.
– redesign of the app launcher.
– preparing the field for NFC functionalities and apps.
It is still early before the release and Google has yet to announce anything, so we’ll let you guess regarding the validity of these points.
