Pierre Cardin launching its first Android tablet

Like I say, everyone wants a piece of Android. From manufacturer suing it, ie. Apple and Samsung for instance, to luxury brands.

Pierre-Cardin-PC-7006

The latest Android tablet manufacturer? Pierre Cardin with its PC-7006 tablet. That’s right, for a mere £275 or USD $450 you’ll get a 7-inch tablet running Android 2.2 Froyo. That’s not very good actually, for this price and a high class product, I would have expected Android 3.x Honeycomb. The PC-7006 is powered by a single-core 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of ROM.

The Pierre Cardin tablet will have a 1.3 megapixel camera, HDMI output, Wi-Fi and 3G functionality via a dongle.

So the real question is it worth it? Yes and no, yes if you love the brand, no if you’re tech savvy, you’re basically just buying the brand. For this price range, much more powerful and up to date tablets are available.
