Sharp is preparing to launch a 7-inch Android tablet, the Sharp Galapagos A01SH tablet. The tablet is already making its way to the US as its already been approved by the FCC.
This 7-inch tablet will be running Android 3.2 Honeycomb which is optimized for tablets less than 10.1-inch. The Galapagos is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, with 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM.
The tablet will have dual cameras with a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 2 megapixel in the front. According to Sharp, the Galapagos battery should last up to 7.5 hours.
With this new tablet, Sharp is another player entering the 7-inch tablet field like Acer with the Iconia A100, HTC with the Flyer and Viewsonic with the Viewpad 7x. Good choice? What do you think? Would you rather have a 10.1-inch tablet? Let us know!
