Did you know that your Kyocera Echo had an NFC chip? Even the Samsung Galaxy S2 doesn’t have this feature aside from the Korean version.
Now, thanks to an update to the latest Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, the Kyocera Echo is NFC enabled.
This update also brings Wi-Fi calling functionality, Swype 3.0 support, pinch to zoom in browser, enhanced download app manager, battery manager, gallery, maps and Sprint Navigation.
As a reminder, the Kyocera Echo features two 3.5-inch touchscreens just like the not yet released Imerj phone.
Other interesting basic features includes a 5 megapixel camera and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities.
For a phone whose reviews were not that great, I find that the Kyocera Echo is an under evaluated Android phone.
And if you get the over the air update, you’ll find yourself with an excellent phone with features mainly found on high-end phones.
