[UPDATE]: Samsung Galaxy S2 to come out on AT&T without physical keyboard
In a series of spy shots from BGR, we can see some pictures of the upcoming million selling device the Samsung Galaxy S2. But there’s one big surprise. It seems like the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 features a 4 row physical keyboard. That’s right, Samsung and AT&T, somehow managed to introduce a physical keyboard underneath the 4.3-inch screen of the S2.
Could this be an attempt to fend off the Motorola Droid 3 on Verizon? It could very well be. Regardless of the reason, it seems like for those expecting a “normal” Samsung Galaxy S2 or Attain from AT&T you’ll have to reassess your decision.
The addition of the keyboard does not seem to impact too much the weight and thickness of the device. It sure will add a little fat to the S2 but not that much.
Good idea? bad idea? We all have our preferences. I like it; I like typing on something that you can feel, old-fashion man. But I’m sure those hoping for a super lightweight and slim device can think twice again about the Galaxy S2 now. No news regarding other carriers for now.
Unless they produce both. That would be very good, and I’m sure Samsung will easily reach its 10 million devices sold goal. What do you prefer? With or without keyboard?
