The famous ASUS EEE Pad Slider which was expected to launch this spring alongside the ASUS EEE Pad Transformer, has made its way to the FCC. This means, that it shouldn’t be too long before we can see it hit the shelves. That’s ideally and hypothetically if nothing goes wrong.
The Slider is being referred as the SL101 on the FCC documents and seems to be lacking 3G, at least for now. The ASUS Slider, as opposed to its counterpart the Transformer, comes with a slide-out keyboard from underneath its screen.
The ASUS EEE Pad Slider is a 10.1 inch tablet running Android 3.0 Honeycomb at the very least. Dual cameras on this tablet allow video conferences. A dual-core processor is rumored to power this Android tablet. The ASUS EEE Pad Slider will be the first tablet to come out on the market with an integrated physical keyboard.
After all, typing on a keyboard feels much better than typing on a screen, no? Let’s just hope this keyboard won’t add to much weight and thickness to this tablet.
