As WiMax service is getting more and more popular in India, Viewsonic is planning to launch a WiMax tablet near Diwali.
The Viewsonic tablet will be the first WiMax tablet in India and will be a 7-inch Android tablet.
If the tablet is the same one as shown during Taiwan’s Computex trade fair show this year, than it will be called the Viewsonic ViewPad 7X.
It will be running Android Honeycomb and will run on a 1 GHz Tegra 2 processor. The WiMax Viewsonic tablet will be expected to retail around Rs 30,000-35,000 (ie USD $675-800).
So far all this sounds very good, Android running on WiMax on a 7-inch tablet with the latest Android OS. Nice, or keep dreaming? Very possible if you ask me. Just have some faith.
