The Nook2Android software is available on a special microSD card and is priced according to its capacity. Pricing range from $34.99 (8GB), $49.99 (16 GB), and $89.99 (32GB). The extra storage available on the microSD card can be used towards storing music and movies. The Android OS runs directly from the microSD card, and according to its creator, the Nook2Android software does not void the Barnes & Nobles e-reader.
The Nook2Android card allows you to dual-boot your Nook tablet to regular Nook or Android OS. The Android OS version available for now is Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Nook2Android microSD card will come pre-loaded with apps such as the Android Market, Facebook and Angry Birds.
For the price, the Nook2Android is an excellent tool to turn your tablet into an Android tablet. If you’re unsure about it thought, the Nook2Android is only available on Amazon with a 14 days warranty. Not much to lose imho, no?
