Latest tablet manufacturer, Lenovo with IdeaPad K1 and ThinkPad

Lenovo is officially introducing two Android tablets. The tablets are similar but one tablet will focus on entertainment – the IdeaPad Tablet K1 and the other one for business purpose the Thinkpad Tablet.

The ThinkPad tablet is set to be released this coming August, and the IdeaPad K1 is already available for pre-order.

The IdeaPad K1 retails for $449 for the 16GB version. This tablet runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and is powered by an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. This Lenovo IdeaPad tablet features a 10.1-inch touchscreen. As most tablets, the K1 will feature 2 cameras, one front 2 megapixel camera and one back 5 megapixel camera.

Is the Android tablet world getting too crowded? Yes, but we can’t exclude Lenovo from all this hype can we? Hopefully they will make their tablets as sturdy as their computers, now that will be interesting. Just wishing they could have dropped the ThinkPad series design in their ThinkPad tablet. I mean, why are they always so boxy?
