Amazon is reportedly working on an Android tablets. Many reports claim that the Amazon tablet will launch this October.
At least 1.5 million copies of the Amazon 9-inch tablet are being produced. The world’s largest Internet retailer, is competing against Apple to take on the number one spot for tablets. Amazon already has some experience with its Kindle reader which will remain on sale as well as with its Amazon Appstore.
So far, no other major Android manufacturer have been able to seriously dent Apple’s iPad 2 domination. Maybe Amazon’s tablet will have some effect? Probably, as Amazon already have a good foundation in the electronic and Android world. Amazon can provide digital contents including e-books, music, video as well as apps directly from its own Appstore.
Will people have interest in the Amazon tablet? Hopefully so. Will it really hurt Apple’s iPad 2 sales? Difficult to say even though Amazon does have everything to succeed. What do you think? Let us know!
