Introducing Google Maps with Navigation beta on the Android Market

One of my favorite app on my Android device since I got it is the Google maps app.

Google recently released a new Beta version of it, Google Maps with Navigation Beta. This update includes a GPS features for public transit systems in over 400 cities in the world. This app is so powerful that it will let you know exactly where to get off the bus by vibrating. It will let you know step by step where you are and how to get to your destination one step at a time. The only drawback is that since its GPS based, forget about getting step by step guidance in the subway.
Transportation by Bus is not a problem at all with this app.

Another great feature this update brings is the ability to use the maps in a no signal zone for example. You can download the maps for a given region and guide yourself based on the pre-loaded maps. No more problem if you don’t have signal anymore.

I guess one feature this app is missing is a live traffic indicator for your route. But I’m sure the people at Google are already working on it. They’re that good at making awesome things, if not, then we can add it to a wish list for now. Regardless, for a free app, the Google Maps with Navigation is hard to beat.

Go ahead and try it, available right now on the Android Market.
