Telstra users can finally rejoice, the Samsung Galaxy S2 will finally be available on the Australian network starting July 26. Other Australian carriers such as Optus have had the Samsung Galaxy S2 for almost two months now, so Telstra will have some catch-up to do.
But why the delay? Telstra claims quality process as the reason. According to Telstra, their version of the Galaxy S2 will be better than other carriers; it will have better signal, better data throughput and be more stable.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 will be available on Telstra Next G network on the Freedom Connect Plans, including on the $59 plan a mobile repayment option of $20 per month (after a bonus) for 24 months. If you prefer, the phone can also be purchased outright for $840.
The Samsung Galaxy S2 is a 1.2GHz dual-core device powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread which sold over 3 million copies since its introduction.
This best-selling device will come and complete Telstra Android line-up along the HTC Desire S, HTC Wildfire S and the HTC Sensation.
Telstra fans, are you ready for your Samsung Galaxy S2? I think you should, after such a long wait, enjoy!
