Motorola launched this week the Motorola Xoom tablet in India. This Android tablet is available in two versions, the Wi-Fi version and the Wi-Fi and 3G version.

The Xoom features a 10.1-inch touchscreen capable of playing 1080p full HD videos. The Motorola Xoom tablet will be powered by NVIDIA’s 1 GHz Tegra 2 dual-core processor with 1 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage expandable to 32 GB via an external microSD.
The Xoom features dual cameras for video conference, first a 5 megapixel camera on the back and another 2 megapixel in the front. The Motorola Xoom will have Bluetooth, HDMI port and GPS functionality.
The Motorola Xoom tablet is entering a very competitive market with competitors like Apple with the iPad 2, Samsung with the Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry with the PlayBook, Acer with the Iconia Tab and many others like HTC Flyer and G’Five.
Pricing as usual will be a key factor for the success of this tablet. The Wi-Fi only version of the Xoom should retail for Rs 32,990 and the Wi-Fi with 3G version should retail for Rs 39,990.
