LG will be launching one of the lightest and thinnest Android smartphone in India – LG Optimus Black.
This Android device runs Android 2.2 Froyo for now, but should have an update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread next month. The Optimus Black features a 4-inch NOVA display with 480X800 pixels resolution.
The device is powered by a 1GHz TI OMAP processor with 512 MB of RAM and 2GB of internal storage. As most smartphones, the LG Optimus Black will have 2 cameras. It will have a 5-megapixel camera in the rear, and a 2-megapixel camera in the front.
The LG Optimus Black will be available for Rs 19,990 (USD $450) as is the Iphone 3GS 8GB. Tough competition I would say even if the Iphone 3GS is an older phone.
