HTC is preparing to launch the HTC Puccini, in the UK on June 27th in London.
The HTC Puccini is HTC’s Flyer bigger brother. The Puccini features a 10.1-inch touchscreen and will run Android 3.1 Honeycomb. The Puccini will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
The Puccini is rumored to retail for £600 (USD $960) for the 32GB model. In terms of price, this is slightly more expensive than Apple’s Ipad 2. I hope that this is not true, as anything retailing at a higher price than the Ipad will have a hard time selling. Apple’s Ipad fan base is huge, so if you want to create competition, I believe that the price is very important.
As for the HTC Flyer, this 7-inch tablet should receive an update to Android 3.2 Honeycomb optimised for 7-inch tablets. Currently the HTC Flyer still runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
