Toshiba Tablet Thrive to be available July 10 in the US and August in Canada

Toshiba is set to release the Thrive Android tablet in Canada this fall. More precisely this August.

The Toshiba Tablet also known as the Thrive will be available starting July 10th in the United States, and is already available in other parts of the world such as Australia and New Zealand since last week.

In Canada, the Thrive will be called the Toshiba Tablet until a formal name from Toshiba is issued.

Toshiba-Thrive Tablet Android

The Toshiba Tablet will feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen and will run Android 3.1 Honeycomb. It will run an the NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and will have dual cameras. 2-megapixel in the front and 5-megapixel in the rear.

Toshiba will make the Toshiba Tablet personalized by having a selection of different back covers. In total five different colors will be available, Blue Moon, Raspberry Fusion, Lavender Bliss, Silvery Sky and Green Apple.

In terms of price, the Toshiba Tablet starting price is cheaper than Apple’s Ipad 2. It will cost you

$429 – for the 8GB version
$479 – for the 16GB version
$579 – for the 32GB version.

Many accessories will be available with the Toshiba Tablet. Among them is a docking station that will truely turn your Toshiba Android tablet into a multimedia station.
