Crackle, the popular app to stream free movies on Apple’s Iphone, is now back on Android. And this time, like its Apple counterpart, streaming movies and watching popular TV shows is going to be free on Android as well.
Crackle is owned by Sony and will stream free movies to Android devices running Android 2.2 Froyo and up. You need Flash 10.1+ on Android to stream movies. The only small drawback is that the app is ad-supported in order to maintain the low price of FREE.
If you don’t like ads, you can always stream movies with Netflix for a low monthly subscription.
Otherwise, you can watch unlimited movies and TV episodes on demand with Crackle 2.0. The app only works in the following countries, at least for now, US, Canada, UK and Australia.
So hook up your Android to your big screen TV, and enjoy a vast selection of movies ranging from Comedy to Drama all for free. Streaming is done via 3G or Wi-Fi network. The Crackle app is available for free on the Android Market Place. Enjoy your streaming!
