The Wildfire S from HTC just hit the Canadian market through national wireless carrier Bell.
The HTC Wildfire S is the successor of the previous HTC Wildfire. Rightfully so, this new iteration fixes some issues found in the previous version. No more glare issues with your screen, everything is nice and sharp on this 3.2-inch touchscreen.
The Wildfire S is no powerhouse such as the LG G2x, but will certainly serve well Android fans. Powered by a 600 MHz processor with 512 MB of ROM and 512 MB of RAM; the Wildfire S will run the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Add to this a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and video recording. Obviously, the handset supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSPA and includes a GPS.
All this can be yours for $29.95 when you sign up for a 3 year data and voice plan contract. If you don’t like to be tied to a contract, the handset can be yours for $249.95 with no contract. Not so bad for a good up to date smartphone.
