T-Mobile is getting ready for the summer by introducing two affordable Android devices.
First the Samsung Gravity Smart. This smartphone runs Android 2.2 Froyo and is powered by a 800MHz processor. In addition to its 3.2-inch touchscreen, this phone has a slide-out keyboard under its screen. This full QWERTY keyboard has four-row and the Samsung Gravity Smart also comes with Swype technology making texting even easier.
Additionally, the Gravity Smart comes with a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom and a camcorder.
Three colors will be available for this phone, red, blue and gray.
The Samsung Gravity Smart will be available this month at a low price of $69.99 after rebate requiring a 2 year voice and data plan.
The second phone is also a Samsung phone – the Samsung Exhibit 4G. This smartphone runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is powered by 1GHz Hummingbird processor. This phone features a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen display. For a budget phone, this phone features a dual camera, with a 3 megapixel camera in the back with a flash and a front camera ideal for video conferences.
This phone will also feature a Wi-Fi radio and 4G capability.
All this can be yours sometime in June with a 2 year contract for the low price of $79.99 after rebate.
The heat is on between AT&T and T-mobile. Note that AT&T also introduced this week a very affordable Android phone, the Pantech Crossover. With these phones, both companies are targeting the lower-end market.
