Sony Ericsson is finally introducing the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro in the UK. This phone first appeared alongside the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play, during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelone earlier this year.
The Sony Ericsson Pro is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm processor featuring a 3.7-inch touchscreen with Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology and the screen has a scratch-resistant coating.
The available internal storage is limited to 320MB but is expandable to 32GB via the microSD slot.
The camera on this phone is on par with your digital camera, boasting 8 megapixel with LED flash and autofocus.
But what really stands out from this phone is the slide-out keyboard from underneath the screen. Slide up your phone while holding your phone in landscape and you get a full QWERTY keyboard. The design is a bit similar to the Xperia Play, but unstead of a gamepad, we have a keyboard.
The Xperia Pro also features HSPA, Wi-Fi, HDMI and DLNA.
Last but not least, the Xperia Pro will run Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread overlayed by Sony Ericsson’s own UI.
The Sony Ericsson Pro is available for preorder on the Sony Ericsson website in the UK. It will cost you £349.99 (USD $575) without contract.
