G’Five is planning to launch Android and Windows tablets in the Indian market this summer. G’Five a Chinese mobile phone manufacturing company will introduce these tablets through its Indian subsidiary Kingtech Electronics.
The tablets will be very affordable as they will cost less than Rs 10,000 (USD 220).
“We strongly believe that the benefit of the technology should not be limited to a few but must be available to the masses”
Arshit Pathak, managing director of Kingtech Electronics India said.
Two Android devices will be available, one with a 7-inch screen and the other one with a 10 inch screen. Wi-Fi and 3G will be available on both models.
The Windows tablet will be 10 inch in size.
There seems to be a huge invasion of very affordable Android tablets lately, for example from Endless Ideas the BeBook, from Archos the 7c home tablet and from Australia Kogan the Agora, hopefully all of good quality.
