Verizon just started offering the Motorola Droid X2 online. The Droid X2, successor of the famous Motorola Droid X will officially launch in stores May 26 but if you can’t wait, just go to Verizon online.
The Droid X2 features a 4.3-inch qHD screen offering a brighter and sharper screen than its predecessor. With its dual-core 1GHz processor, Verizon’s Droid X2 competes directly against AT&T’s Motorola Atrix and T-Mobile’s LG G2X. Dual-core means more processing power, that you can use surfing the web, playing videos or just playing games.
You can connect your phone for 1080p display mirroring via HDMI onto your high definition television. Take picture with the 8 megapixel camera and shoot 720p videos.
The Android version running on this handset at launch date will be Android 2.2 Froyo. Verizon says that the update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread should come soon.
For the moment you can get a Droid X2 online at Verizon Wireless. The device costs $200 with a new two-year contract with data plan.
