Amazon release update to Kindle app

Is Amazon preparing an Android tablet? Most likely, but for now the company has released an update to its Kindle app for Android.

This update takes into account Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS for tablets. With the constant release of innovative tablets like the Motorola Xoom and LG G-Slate, Amazon is focusing on delivering a better interface for tablet users.

A new layout for newspapers, magazines and a big screen book store allows for better interaction with users. With redesigned shopping features with tablets users in mind, Amazon is hoping to sell more e-books with this new app. This app also includes a built in dictionary, product reviews by users, as well as the possibility for users to pause and resume downloads.

The Amazon Kindle app is free and available on the Android Market.
