Since its first appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January in Las Vegas, Toshiba’s first Android tablet has been out of sight until now.
Originally running Android 2.2 Froyo, Toshiba’s first tablet – Regza AT300 will now run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. Much better choice from Toshiba since Honeycomb is the more suitable OS for tablets.
Aside from this, the Toshiba Regza AT300 will have a 10.1-inch touch screen display, an Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. Multimedia wise, the tablet will feature dual cameras, 5-megapixel in the rear and a 2-megapixel in the front. In terms of connectivity, the tablet will support full sized SD cards, USB, mini-USB and HDMI ports.
For now the Toshiba Regza AT300 will only launch in Japan in June at a price tag of 60,000 yen ($720 USD). No more details are available at the moment by Toshiba for a global launch.
