Australia online retailer Kogan has launched a 7-inch Android tablet – the Agora.
This low cost Android tablet, is priced at just £89 or $139USD. But dont let the low price fool you, this tablet has some very decent specifications. Driven by a 1GHz Samsung Cortex A8 processor with 512MB of RAM, it only has 4GB of internal storage, but that can easily be expanded with a microSD card.
Unfortunately, the Agora runs Android 2.2 Froyo, at least for the moment; hopefully Android 3.0 Honeycomb will be supported in the feature. The dual camera trend hasn’t set into this tablet yet, as it comes with only one 1.3 megapixel front facing camera with a microphone. WiFi, G sensor and HD 720P playback completes the technical specifications of this tablet.
Thought not the most powerful tablet available, it certainly is very attractive due to its low price. At least a lot of people thought so too as its already sold out as a pre-order.
