Sony is apparently coming with a gaming cellphone combining the power of the PSP and running the Android OS 2.3 (aka Gingerbread). This device formerly known as the Sony Playstation Phone is also known as Zeus Z1.
It features a slide out game pad similar to Sony game pads gamers are acquainted to. Games should be available from the Sony Marketplace for purchasing and downloading games designed for the new platform.
The device should be running on a 1GHz Qualcomm chip, with 512MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, and a screen ranging from 3.7 to 4.1 inches. The Zeus is obviously a touch screen device supporting microSD cards and strangely enough for now, with no Sony Memory Stick slot.
A 2011 Spring release is most likely for now.
