The Android line up just got nicer, with the launch of Motorola’s latest Android – the Droid X. This Android is available for purchase through Verizon Wireless for $199 after the $100 mail-in rebate and with a two-year service contract.
Some features include a 4.3 inch screen with a 480×854 color touchscreen, a Swype virtual QWERTY keyboard, 8-megapixel camera with dual flash, 720p video capture, HDMI output (to show off you HD videos onto the big screen), a preinstalled 16GB card, microSD slot, WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, Android 2.1 OS, and up to six hours of talk time.
One missing feature the Droid X is lacking is the front-facing camera for video calling that can currently be found on its competitors, like the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint, and the iPhone 4 on AT&T. Despite this, the Droid X is a very sleek smartphone with its beautiful 4 inch screen, Verizon’s Android line-up just got a nice boost.
