LG is the third cellphone maker in the world, and is looking into Android to boost even more its share in the field.
With a new line up of 20 smartphones coming out this year, more than half will be Android devices, the rest will run Windows mobile or linux based.
Ironically, a year ago, LG said that it will make Windows Mobile its primary OS, however due to the absence of a new version of Windows Mobile, LG is focusing on Android. Microsoft Windows Mobile is losing ground to Iphone and Android, hopefully Windows Mobile 7 due this year should help it back on track. In the meantime, Android popularity is gaining huge momentum as this LG deal confirms, and its just getting started.
